Get out of your head and into your body.
Movement.
For more than 20 years exercise has been a form of therapy for me. It started with running; I would lace up my trainees, let my feet choose my path and get into a physical and mental space that was exclusively for me. Putting one foot in front of the other grounded me and brought me into the present moment so that I could process my thoughts with a higher level of clarity. Over time I learnt that other forms of exercise and movement could also achieve this for me, making me not just physically but also mentally fitter and stronger, my resilience soared.
I know first-hand how challenging it can be to carve out time to exercise but I also know the phenomenal benefits that it can have for both body and mind. That’s why I’ve designed short classes of 30 mins or less that can easily be fitted into the day and can be done at home via Zoom, between tasks or meetings. I’m also dedicated to ensuring my classes are suitable for all levels and that my participants don’t feel pressured to push their bodies to their limits in order to feel good. I am passionate about making exercise as inclusive as possible because I believe it should available to all, regardless of ability, experience and where you are on your fitness journey. I have learnt over the years that there is no badge of honour for overtraining and exhausting our bodies, they are extremely smart, adaptable and they know how to defend themselves. I believe that to achieve a sustainable fitness goal it is essential to move intuitively with a deep awareness of what our bodies and minds need on any given day. Training with me you will always get a range of low to high impact options so that you can tailor the workout to your body’s needs.
